What this site is (and isn’t)
UK Home Energy provides general information about home energy improvements in the UK: heat pumps, solar panels, insulation, energy efficiency, and government grants. Our content is based on publicly available data, manufacturer specifications, and government publications.
This site is not a substitute for professional advice. We’re not qualified energy assessors, financial advisers, or building surveyors. Always get professional quotes and assessments before making decisions about your home.
Calculators and estimates
Our calculators (heat pump savings, solar ROI, insulation savings, etc.) provide rough estimates for illustration only. They use simplified assumptions and typical UK averages. Your actual costs and savings will depend on your specific property, location, energy usage, installer, and many other factors.
Do not make financial decisions based solely on our calculators. Always get at least three quotes from MCS-certified installers and consider getting an independent energy assessment.

We do our best to keep grant information accurate and up to date, but government schemes change frequently. Eligibility criteria, funding amounts, and availability can change without notice. Always check the official scheme website before applying:
